When I was a Columbia undergrad, a friend introduced me to the glories of Szechuan at Szechuan West. They are still one of the best I have tried anywhere in this city, Chinatown included. Uncompromisingly spicy, with the finest cold noodles with sesame sauce known to man. Be there now.
