The Magical Music of Key Tov

Let's face it folks, we're wild, crazy, dangerous. Nobody knows what we are going to do at any given moment. Don't get too close if you fear for your safety.

We often sing whatever comes to mind right then. We have been known to improvise on stage, in rehearsal, or just walking down the street. We have been known to plant requests, and take them during shows.

On the other hand, we also arrange songs and prepare them sometimes. Although we are a Jewish group, our music is far from restricted to Jewish. We have done gospel, African funeral dirges, folk, punk, rock, secular stuff, Jewish stuff, and showtunes. We'll soon be adding to that list some bluegrass, alternative, and some disco (snicker). Don't try to stop us. We shall overcome.

Oh yeah, this was supposed to be a list of songs we do already. Here they are, marked appropriately for sound bites...

Alleluiah, by Dar Williams

Asher Bara, by Piamenta, music borrowed from Men At Work

Dust In the Wind, by Kansas

Halleluyah, by Ansel Matthews

Halicha L'Qesaria (Eli Eli), by Hannah Senesh

Happy Birthday, (do I need a by-line, or do we all know this song?)

Hashem Sfatai Tiftach, by David Kossoy and Menachem Creditor

Mah Navu, the Bostonner Rebbe's tune

Mah Yakar, an original David Kossoy

Only You, by Yaz

Seasons of Love, from the musical Rent

Senzeneenah, traditional African funeral dirge.

The Lord Inhabits, traditional gospel,

All songs are arranged (or made up as we went along) by Key Tov, for Key Tov, of Key Tov, except Halicha L'Qesaria which we borrowed.
