Eunsoo ShimI am currently rebuilding this home page first time since I made this in 1996.
I have been doing R&D in networking technologies and products (most software) since 1991. My current interest is in technologies for Internet TV, VoIP, P2P, Web, and databases. I have been contributing to the standardardization work in the IETF since 2000. I co-authored RFC4066 Candidate Access Router Discovery Protocol in 2003 and nowadays have been contributing to P2PSIP (Peer-to-Peer Session Initiation Protocol) standardization.
You can find information about P2PSIP standardization in the home page of the IETF P2PSIP WG and at P2PSIP.ORG.
I majored in physics in Seoul National University in Korea but started working as a developer in the computer & communications industry in 1991 after I got BS and MS in physics.
I came to Columbia University as a graduate student in 1996. I received MS in Electrical Engineering in 1998 and PhD in Electical Engineering in 2004. My PhD advisor was Dr. Richard D. Gitlin.
