Ethiolist's first anniversary t-shirt campaign is now over. It's been
a resounding success. In summary:

The proceeds (US$105.67) are going to the Ethiopian Scientific
Society's AAU awards program for 1995. These are cash prizes given to
outstanding students and scientists at AAU (for more info check the
ESS site on the web at http://www.ctr.columbia.edu/~nemo/ESS).
Infinite thanks to all those who participated in this. There are now a
few dozen people in Africa, North America, Europe and Australia
proudly wearing these shirts, and promoting Ethiolist and the concept
of the Ethiopian Cybercommunity.
For those who ordered but didn't pay up in time, if and when I receive
the checks, I will try to send you a shirt if there are still some
left. If not I will simply destroy the checks. Maybe you can get one
next year! If there are still some shirts remaining next week, they
will be distributed in Addis Abeba for free this summer, to attract
new subscribers there.
The Ethiolist t-shirt page will still be there on the web with all the
details of the campaign (http://www.ctr.columbia.edu/~nemo/tshirt.html).
Again, thanks to all for proving that we can get together and do something
positive.
